  • What determines the availability of Wavelength Extracts products and strain varieties?

To produce high quality products with cannabis extracts, we start with high quality cannabis flower. Much like other plants, the harvest of cannabis flower is dictated by a seasonal rhythm. This is why product availability changes, and the strain varieties of our products ebb and flow with a seasonal cadence.

At Wavelength Extracts, this philosophy is in the name - we ride the tides of change like a wave on the ocean!

  • Will I find something in my price range produced by Wavelength Extracts?

Wavelength Extracts prides itself on creating quality cannabis products at a price point that’s right for everyone. Our .5 gram distillate cartridges are the greatest bang for your buck. We also produce more “luxurious” products like live rosin concentrates, which use a solventless process claimed by some to be purer. However, we tend to disagree. We believe that the quality of extracts is determined by the quality of the process.

  • How is a Wavelength Extracts cartridge made?

It depends on what type of Wavelength Cartridge! All of them start with some type of extraction process to separate the cannabinoids and terpenes (if applicable) from the plant material. From here there are a variety of post-processing techniques, but the end goal is to preserve the original scent and flavor profile while manipulating the consistency into a form that will dependably function in all of your favorite Wavelength form factors.

We take pride in using our knowledge of scientific principles to design precisely controlled processes.

Information about our process

  • What is cannabis extraction?

Cannabis extraction is the process of separating certain chemicals from the plant material. In our case the compounds we are looking for are looking for can be generally categorized into cannabinoids and terpenes. "Terpenes" are a specific class of molecules but in this case we are referring to them as a general category for the flavor and small compounds in cannabis. Cannabinoids is a class of molecules that includes THC, CBD, CBN, CBG, etc.

Extraction can be broken into 2 major types, solvent and solventless extraction:

Solvent extraction takes advantage of certain solvent's ability to dissolve our desired compounds. An everyday example of this is making a cup of coffee. The caffeine and other chemicals that give coffee its flavor are pulled out of the beans by the water. In our case the solvent is like the water, the plant material is like the coffee beans, the THC is like the caffeine, and the terpenes are the other things that give each type and roast of coffee it's unique flavor!

Solventless extraction uses physical separation methods to isolate these compounds. There are parts of the plant called "trichomes". These are powerhouses for the production of all of our favorite cannabis compounds and in simple terms consist of a waxy layer on the outside with all of the oils on the inside. Our goal is to isolate these trichomes and then squeeze the oils out and filter them from the outside layer.

Troubleshooting your cannabis vape cartridge and/or battery

  • My cartridge won’t pull correctly, what do I do?

First, you should always try charging your battery. Leave your battery charging for an hour, and if this does not resolve the problem...

Your vaporizer battery may have a preheat function, this function is typically activated with two rapid presses of the power button. The preheat function may help thin the oil causing a blockage.

If the blockage past the heating element, it may be cleared by running a paper clip CAREFULLY down the mouthpiece of the cartridge.

*This is a solution that we do not recommend as it could cause damage to the cartridge.*

Ensure your vaporizer battery is compatible with a standard vaporizer cartridge, as some batteries are not intended for use with 510 thread cartridges.

  • My Wavelength Extracts disposable vape cart stopped working. What do I do?

If your Wavelength Extracts disposable vape cart does not appear to be working, ensure that the device is adequately charged. These disposable vape cartridges most often use a Micro USB port for charging.

  • My vape battery is flashing a red light. What could that mean?

Typically, this means one of two things:

    1. An improper connection between the cartridge and the battery.  When the cartridge is fully threaded onto the battery, unthread (loosen) the cartridge by turning the cartridge counterclockwise by 1/32nd to 1/16th of an inch then proceed to use as normal.

    2. A flashing red light could be indicative of low battery life. Charge the battery sufficiently and see if the problem persists.

  • How do I turn on my vape battery?

Typically, a vape battery is turned on with 5 rapid clicks of the power button. Some vape batteries are buttonless, which means that the heating element is activated when you draw on the cartridge.
